Alternative dining in Aranya Restaurant

Off the coast of Croatia

The soft crab was delicious, meaty and flavoursome.

The Poppadoms were hot and crispy.

The sweet potatoe was tasty.

This is the most amazing fish dish I have ever had. The Turbot, when unwrapped from the banana leaves, fell off the bone. Accompanied with perfect sauce, light and a little spicey ... incredible dish. Never had anything so succulent.

The Aranya Restaurant is alternative dining on Queen Anne ... really good value at £30 per head but the best Indian dining at sea. A real gem of a find.

Starter: Pork belly with apple.

Lacked any taste as overcooked. Very dry and chewy... in fact, difficult to swallow 😕

Main course of Beef Wellington cooked to order.

Mine was medium rare and it was perfectly cooked. The pastry was crunchy and light and the dish totally amazing. Gravy with so much flavour to compliment beef and perfectly cooked accompanyments that included roast potatoes, asparagus and glazed vegetables. Best meal of cruise... 10/10.

Special dessert request

Apricot Flambé prepared by head waiter. Addition of drambuie... delicious

Crepes suzettes cooked perfectly by head waiter... definitely worth request after main course or as an extra desert.

All in all a good meal!

Fancied a nice chinese meal in the Artisans' Foodhall and requested vegetarian spring rolls

with crispy seaweed.

Went down well!!

followed by mixed meat chow mein in oyster sauce.

What a treat and tasted so crispy and healthy. Cooked by my own Sous chef. Cunard do look after their passengers!

A choice of steaks!

Fillet steak beautifully cooked in Cunard’s alternative restaurant on board. Extra $50 each.

Good selection of fresh cuts of fine meats.

Choice of unlimited side dishes.

Dover sole was a bit over cooked so disappointing.

Nice presentation though!

Chocolate cookie was served lovely and  warm- heavenly with clotted cream. You need to walk a few decks afterwards!

Great dining experience at sea! 

Overall, a nice alternative 2 hour dining experience with white glove service and some nice wines to select.
